Orlando police arrest eight pro-Palestinian protesters

ORLANDO, Florida – Orlando police arrested eight pro-Palestinian protesters Saturday afternoon following a clash downtown.

According to a media release, the arrests occurred after the peaceful conclusion of a demonstration near Lake Eola.

Police found some of the protesters involved in an argument with someone. One of the protesters “lunged” at a police officer who tried to separate them, which led to the first arrest.

According to police, other demonstrators tried to prevent the arrest and were also arrested.

The eight demonstrators were arrested. They were accused of disturbing the peace, assaulting a police officer, resisting the public prosecutor with violence and resisting the public prosecutor without violence, among other things.
