Sparks man arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon | Local News

Timothy Rubenstein, 33, of Sparks was arrested today after an investigation resulted in probable cause offense of assault with a deadly weapon – domestic violence.

On Saturday afternoon, around 2 p.m., officers encountered the victim of a domestic violence incident involving a firearm.

The incident occurred on Sullivan Lane while two children were present. The children were unharmed.

Sparks police officers went to the Sullivan Street home to locate Rubenstein as he was leaving the home and attempting to flee.

Rubenstein was caught and arrested and was found to be carrying a loaded gun in his waistband.

Officers booked Rubenstein into the Washoe County Detention Center and charged him with assault with a deadly weapon-domestic violence, carrying a concealed weapon without a permit, two counts of child endangerment and obstruction of justice.
