Lyon man charged with murder | News

LYONS — Police are still releasing little information about the motive behind an incident that occurred Saturday morning in which one man was killed and another was charged with murder.

Randolph Scott, 37, of 24 Maple St., Apt. 1, was charged Saturday with second-degree murder and second-degree illegal possession of a weapon. His arraignment on those charges was scheduled for Sunday morning in Wayne County CAP Court.

Sheriff Rob Milby said the incident apparently occurred at Scott's residence. Officers were called to the address just after 10:30 a.m. after 911 calls reported a domestic violence incident and gunshots inside the residence. Police said they found Shawn G. Rahn, 40, of Elmer Street in Lyons, dead inside the residence.

After questioning and investigating the immediate area, a suspect was quickly identified. About two hours later, Scott was arrested in an adjacent residence and taken into custody.

The investigation is ongoing.

The New York State Police, Clyde Police Department and Wayne County Emergency Services assisted in the investigation.
