The students were disciplined by school staff for an incident, and during the discussion of that behavior, one of the students made a threat of violence against the school and school employees, according to police.

Police also allege that the two students physically assaulted some school staff, prompting a South Bend Police Department security officer and other South Bend police officers to arrive at the school.

No further information was released Saturday about the incident, which police said remains under investigation. Police referred further questions to the South Bend Community School Corporation.
