Laurium man arrested for involvement in January 6 Capitol riots

A Laurium man was arrested for alleged involvement in the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol. On Wednesday, federal agents arrested Adam Christopher Mancuso. An arrest warrant was issued for Mancuso on Aug. 23. Unsealed court documents show Mancuso posted pictures of himself and other rioters a week after the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot. FBI investigators identified Mancuso by an Insane Clown Posse hat. Investigators tracked his movements inside the Capitol using the hat. Investigators say Mancuso spent about a half hour in the building, stopping at the crypt, the colonnade, and confronting an officer wearing a gas mask. FBI agents say the ICP hat was a key to identifying Mancuso. He has appeared in federal court. Mancuso's next appearance is scheduled for Sept. 10.
