A murder investigation has been launched after a man was found with a single stab wound on a property in Norwich

After a man was stabbed to death, a murder investigation was launched.

Police were called to a property on Lefroy Road in the Mile Cross area of ​​Norwich at 10.40pm (BST) on Saturday on suspicion that a man had been assaulted.

Officers discovered the body of a man with a single stab wound.

Det Insp David McCormack, of Norfolk Constabulary, said: “We understand there is concern among the public. However, we do not believe there is any danger to the general public.”

On Sunday, the crime scene remained cordoned off by police.

“We are appealing for witnesses associated with the address to come forward, as well as anyone who has information or notices anything suspicious,” said Det Insp McCormack.

“We thank the public for their patience while the police cordon remains in place and the investigation continues.

“We ask anyone who has information or knows of anything suspicious to contact the police,” he added.
