Brookhaven woman allegedly ran over and killed man during argument in Fayetteville

Fayetteville police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that they believe was intentional.

On September 21, police were called to the scene in the area of ​​East Stonewall Avenue and Lee Street at approximately 10:23 p.m. They found a male victim. He later died of his injuries at the hospital.

During a preliminary investigation, officers determined that 26-year-old Danielle Loyd of Brookhaven was behind the wheel. They believe she knew the victim and was involved in some sort of argument with him before intentionally hitting him and fleeing the scene of the accident.

Early the next morning, Fayetteville police found her again in Brookhaven. She was arrested, charged with murder, and taken to the Fayette County Jail.
