5 burning questions about fantasy football for week 3 (2024)

Don't think it's over when you look at your injury-hit squad, it's still early in the season and there are some players who could help you in the fight for the championship.

Let us answer some of your most burning fantasy football questions for NFL Week 3.

Burning questions about fantasy football in week three

How do you rate Tyreek Hill’s value without Tua Tagovailoa?

It's not as bad as when other top receivers lose their quarterback.

Tyreek Hill is not only one of the best receivers in the league, but also one of the best athletes. Last year he was the second-best wide receiver with 12 broken tackles and the third-best with 668 yards after the catch. They will plan plays where Skylar Thompson will pass the ball to Hill and let him use his athleticism.

Can I ride Sam Darnold for the rest of the season?

It looks like it's happening. Minnesota has built a good offense where Sam Darnold can shine. Justin Jefferson is one of the best receivers, Aaron Jones has started to be great in the backfield, and the offensive line gives him most of his time in the pocket (2.6 seconds).

If these key players stay healthy, Darnold can have success in this offense. It will also help if TJ Hockenson returns.

Is Can Brock Purdy be dropped at this point?

We'll find out Brock Purdy's true value soon. It's not been a great start to the season, as he was only QB18 through the first two weeks. The schedule is in his favor, so there's some optimism as he faces the Rams, Patriots, and Cardinals in the coming weeks.

The Rams have allowed the third-most points to quarterbacks, followed by the Patriots, who have been smacked by Aaron Rodgers, and the Cardinals, who have allowed the fourth-most points to quarterbacks.

I'll be on his side this week, but another poor performance could mean he's gone for a while before his best playmakers (Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel, George Kittle) return.

Should we expect Week 1 or Week 2 Anthony Richardson for the rest of the season?

Can we say it's going to be a little bit of both? We knew going into the season that Anthony Richardson wasn't going to light up the scoreboard with his arm, but the strength of his fantasy value comes from his legs.

He was 11th among quarterbacks in runs. He played just four complete games and led the league in runs percentage. Mobile quarterbacks are not suited for fantasy games and we will see more of Richardson's legs in the future.

Can anyone on the Rams offense shine in the absence of Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua?

If anyone wanted to stand out from the pack, it would have happened last week. The offense looked lost without Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp, and we didn't see a receiver step up as they were annihilated by an Arizona defense that had allowed 38 points to Buffalo a week earlier.

This week's game against San Francisco could be another tough one.
