Packers QB Jordan Love (knee) out against Titans; Malik Willis starts against his former team

Love's inactivity sets the stage for an exciting matchup for Willis, even though he downplayed any thoughts of revenge during the game against Tennessee earlier this week.

Willis led the Packers to a victory over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2 as quarterback – a feat that is all the more impressive given that he was traded from the Titans to the Green Bay Packers on August 26, just weeks before taking over the starting lineup.

Willis, a third-round pick in 2022, was considered a promising franchise QB for the Titans, but he struggled in his two seasons with Tennessee. For Green Bay, however, Willis turned in perhaps his best performance of his career, completing 12 of 14 passes for 122 yards, his first NFL touchdown pass and no interceptions.

Love will have to wait another week as Willis returns to Nashville for at least one more game as the Packers' starter.

Green Bay (1-1) starts on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. ET against Tennessee (0-2).
