Miami Dolphins at Seattle Seahawks – Odds, Expert Tips, How to Watch: Seahawks Expected to Remain Undefeated

The Miami Dolphins will face the Seattle Seahawks without Tua Tagovailoa in Week 3. The Seahawks are favorites at home and want to improve their record to 3-0.

Tagovailoa will be out for the foreseeable future after his recent concussion. Skylar Thompson will take over, and although he already has one playoff appearance (and two more) under his belt, this will be a different Dolphins offense.

The running game will become even more important and the team hopes Raheem Mostert (chest) can return after missing last week's game. If not, it could be the De'Von Achane show again. The second-year running back was the only bright spot in the 31-10 home loss to Buffalo, rushing for 165 yards and a touchdown.

Seattle also has to contend with a weakened backfield. Kenneth Walker III could miss his second straight game with an oblique injury. Zach Charbonnet averaged just 2.7 yards per carry last week, but Geno Smith threw for 327 yards to help the Seahawks to a 23-20 overtime win at New England. DK Metcalf and Jaxon Smith-Njigba combined for 246 yards and a touchdown on 22 catches.

Seattle's defense struggled to stop the run early (the Patriots had 185 rushing yards), but Miami's quarterback change could make the Dolphins' offense more one-dimensional. At the very least, it's a mystery how effective wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle will be with Thompson throwing to them now.

Despite last week's result, Miami's defense played relatively well against the Bills. Three turnovers, including a pick-six, were just too much to overcome. Can this defense carry the load while the new-look offense finds its stride? It seems like a tall order considering everything the Dolphins have been through over the past 10 days, plus a long trip to the West Coast.
