Crash costs Jay Vine possible World Championship medal in time trial

Jay Vine was left battered and bleeding after a fall during the time trial at the Road World Championships in Zurich, but got back on his bike, continued riding and finished fifth behind multiple world champion Remco Evenepoel.

Vine finished the race with a cut above his eye, blood running down his face, and blood and dirt splashes on his arms and legs. The images were reminiscent of Stefan Küng's fall at the 2023 European Championships.
