Four people arrested in Fairfield for drug trafficking after traffic stop

FAIRFIELD (WGME) — Four people were arrested for drug trafficking following a traffic stop in Fairfield Saturday night.

According to the Maine State Police, a trooper stopped a vehicle on Route 201 in Fairfield at around 11:58 p.m. for non-functioning taillights.

The trooper recognized the driver, Daniel Pallis, 35, of Dresden, and his passenger, Maria Jackson, 30, of Richmond, from an altercation they had with a Maine State Trooper on August 10 when the Trooper attempted to arrest Jackson as part of a drug investigation.

Pallis was arrested for drug trafficking and two counts of violation of conditions of release. Jackson was also charged with drug trafficking, violation of conditions of release and refusal to submit to arrest or detention.

Two other passengers in the car were also arrested: Paul Duplin, 35, of Whitefield and David Levasseur, 38, of Lisbon.

Both Duplin and Levasseur were charged with drug trafficking, and Levasseur was also charged with trafficking in prison contraband.
