Saints RB Alvin Kamara receives warning from Eagles defender ahead of Week 3

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara has had an incredible start to the season, along with a dominant offense that has scored over 40 points in each of the team's two wins.

Speaking of highs, Philadelphia Eagles defenseman Darius Slay doesn't want to see anything like that when the two teams meet this weekend.

Speaking to reporters about the NFC heavyweight bout in Week 3, Slay issued a warning of sorts to Kamara.

“He's nice about it, man,” Slay told reporters, as captured by Howard Eskin from Fox 29 TV. “One of the best backs with the best balance I've seen in a long time, man, he really breaks a lot of tackles. The crazy thing is I told him, don't ever jump over me again, he jumped over me once when I was in Detroit his rookie year, he really got over me. So, Kamara, I know you're probably seeing this, don't jump over me like that, I'm going to press charges, I swear to God, I'm going to press charges.”

Slay refers to a memory of Drew Brees' days as a member of the Detroit Lions and Kamara treating him like a human hurdle near the goal line during the Saints' blowout victory.

Kamara, however, has a tendency to do just that to people, literally and figuratively. That's especially the case right now with this high-flying offense run by coordinator Klint Kubiak, who has used a particular gimmick to excel more than anyone else in the last decade.

So far, Kamara has averaged 5.7 yards per carry with four touchdowns and caught seven passes for 92 yards and a touchdown. Next up is a matchup with Slay and the Eagles that will set the tone for the entire NFC.
