Fort Wayne man accused of storing fentanyl and heroin in local Airbnb – WOWO News/Talk 92.3 FM, 1190 AM, 107.5 FM & 97.3 HD2

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – A 38-year-old man is expected in court Monday on charges of storing more than 5,000 grams of suspected fentanyl and heroin in an Airbnb.

Mervin Bryant of Fort Wayne was being investigated on several warrants when he was observed leaving an apartment that was rented through Airbnb for most of September.

A search warrant was obtained and officers found approximately 4,697 grams of suspected fentanyl, approximately 463 grams of suspected heroin, a kilogram press often used to package narcotics, and several packages of cutting agents.

Mail and a casino card with Bryant's name on it were found in the apartment.

21 Alive News reports that Bryant is charged with two counts of drug trafficking.
