Minnesota Lynx vs Phoenix Mercury on September 22

Both teams have plenty of playoff experience, with the Lynx reaching the finals in 2020 with Hiedeman (once), Williams (twice) and McBride.

Despite a recent loss to Los Angeles without Collier or McBride, the Lynx enter the playoffs in top form, having won 14 of their last 16 games. The Mercury finished their last 10 games with a 3-7 record. Minnesota is tied with New York for the best home record (16-4), including two wins against Phoenix, which had a 9-11 record on the road.

The Lynx have been consistently successful against Phoenix, winning 26 of their last 31 regular-season games and boasting a 6-0 playoff record since 2015. Their defense, which limited Phoenix to under 40% shooting and 29% on threes, will be crucial in the postseason.
