Two dead, one injured in traffic accident in Gallatin County

GREAT FALLS – Two people were killed in a collision involving two motorcycles in Gallatin County on Friday, September 20, 2024.

Sheriff and Coroner Dan Springer said emergency crews responded to the crash at the intersection of U.S. Highway 191 and Gooch Hill Road around 8:43 p.m.

The three people involved – two men and one woman – were given medical assistance.

The two men died at the scene of the accident – one on each motorcycle. Their names have not yet been released.

According to Sheriff Springer, the woman was taken to Bozeman Health Deaconess Regional Medical Center for further treatment and is expected to survive.
Responding agencies included the Gallatin County Sheriff's Office, Montana Highway Patrol, Gallatin Gateway Fire Department and American Medical Response.
