Source – Lions' Amon-Ra St. Brown suffered bruising and cramps against the Bucs

DETROIT — Detroit Lions star wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown was initially diagnosed with only a bruise and cramping despite limping throughout Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

St. Brown left the game with about 30 seconds left after catching a pass on the first play of the Lions' final drive.

The two-time Pro Bowler did not return for the Lions' final five games in the 20-16 loss and was seen on the sidelines undergoing treatment and examination of his legs.

Lions head coach Dan Campbell said Sunday that Brown was “doing well,” adding that he did not believe the injury was “long-term in nature, so that's good news.”

St. Brown finished the game against Tampa Bay with a team-best 11 catches for 119 yards. It was his seventh career game with 10 or more passes caught.

The Lions (1-1) visit the Arizona Cardinals (1-1) in Week 3.
