Police asked Malcolm to contact a lawyer and turn himself in.

According to CP24, the victim and the suspect are probably siblings.

“Christopher and Carlton know each other and are considered brothers,” Det.-Sgt. Amanda Thornton said at a press conference via CP24.

None of them lived in the building, Thornton said of CP24, without revealing why they were there.

“The entire building is currently being investigated and we are receiving video footage of both the building and the exterior and surrounding area,” she said via CP24.

Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators at 416-808-7400 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 416-222-8477 (TIPS).

It was the 63rd murder this year in Toronto.
