12-year-old from Buckeye arrested in connection with school threat in Wisconsin

BUCKEYE, AZ – A threat investigation at a Milwaukee, Wisconsin school led to the arrest of a 12-year-old girl in Buckeye.

On Sunday, Buckeye police said they were contacted by Milwaukee police in connection with an investigation into a threat at a school in their area. Milwaukee police found that an IP address associated with the threat was linked to a home in Buckeye.

Buckeye police questioned a 12-year-old girl and seized evidence from the home. She was arrested and charged with serious crimes, including terroristic threatening.

Buckeye Police say there have been no threats to Buckeye schools and the community is not in danger.

This is just one of many recent investigations into threats at schools across Arizona.

A teenager was arrested Thursday for allegedly threatening a dozen schools in the Valley.

Mesa police also announced they were investigating six incidents at schools in the East Valley within seven days.

On Friday, Prescott Valley Police arrested a juvenile for allegedly threatening Liberty Traditional School.

ABC15 has been tracking the various arrests and speaking to officials about the increase in threats against schools.

Some districts and police officials have held forums for parents to talk about school safety. Forums were held in both the West and East Valley following the recent incidents.
