Braves start big series against Mets with two games behind

A playoff spot could be decided.

The Braves defeated the Marlins on Sunday by winning two of three games in Florida. Their final six games will be at home. The Mets defeated the Phillies by winning three of four and preventing Philadelphia from winning the division. Their final six games will be on the road. Also, the Diamondbacks had a big lead but lost to the Brewers. Going into the three-game series, the Mets have a two-game lead over the Braves. The Mets are tied with the Diamondbacks and have the tiebreaker.

Five of the twelve playoff teams have been determined.

A Dodgers win and a Phillies loss puts Los Angeles back in first place in the National League. The Tigers are currently in sixth place in the American League, replacing the Twins.
