After the Atlanta Falcons’ 22:17 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Football on Sunday eveningHead coach Raheem Morris was not interested in discussing the controversial non-call that had caused outrage among fans.

When asked why the refs didn't call defensive pass interference on a pass from Kirk Cousins to Kyle Pitts on fourth down, Morris told reporters, “I like my money. I'm smart enough to make sure I don't dunk the refs. They penalized or didn't penalize, it is what it is. We had a chance to win on the last play.”

Chiefs safety Bryan Cook appeared to have contact with Pitts before Cousins' pass arrived, but the referees decided not to assess a penalty. The decision came a week after Kansas City benefited from a defensive pass interference penalty in its one-point win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Atlanta still had another chance to pull off the win after forcing Kansas City to a three-and-out. Unfortunately for the Falcons, they failed to convert a fourth-and-inches pass from the Chiefs' 13-yard line, resulting in a turnover on downs that decided the game.

After falling to 1-2, Morris will look to get the Falcons back on track when they face the New Orleans Saints in an NFC South matchup in Week 4.
