Fire accident leaves one injured in Todd County

ELKTON, Kentucky – First responders responded to a 911 call about a vehicle fire Sunday.

According to Todd County Emergency Management, the Todd County Sheriff's Office, Todd County EMS, and the Elkton and Trenton fire departments were called to Elkton Trenton Road Highway 1753 around 5:30 p.m. A vehicle was on fire at the scene after striking a utility pole.

The driver of the vehicle was flown in by helicopter for treatment of unspecified injuries.

The vehicle and a small part of the forest were extinguished after being cleared by Pennyrile Electric.

The investigation is ongoing.
