Wayne County man charged with weekend murder – Finger Lakes Daily News

A Lyons man faces murder charges in Wayne County.

Randolph Scott was charged with first-degree murder and illegal possession of a firearm after allegedly shooting 40-year-old Shawn Rahn of Lyons.

Shortly after 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning, police were called to Scott's Maple Street apartment after receiving 911 calls reporting gunshots. Rhan's body was found inside. Two hours after the shooting, Scott, 37, was arrested in an adjacent apartment building.

The investigation is ongoing.

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by the New York State Police, the Village of Clyde Police Department and Wayne County Emergency Services.

The fact that a defendant is accused of a crime constitutes merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
