MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – With just a few hours left until the official start of fall, changes are already on the way. A strong storm system will bring showers and storms through the end of the weekend. Although no organized severe weather is expected, some storms could be quite severe with gusty winds and small hail. More importantly, however, some beneficial precipitation is expected. Cooler, more seasonable temperatures are expected next week as things calm down and the sun returns.

What’s next…

Tonight, thunderstorms at times, with lows as low as 18 degrees Celsius. South winds 5-10 mph. Stormy periods continue Sunday, with much cooler highs as low as 18 degrees Celsius. Breeze from the north 5-15 mph. Scattered showers Sunday night, with lows as low as 7 degrees Celsius. Scattered showers possible Monday and Tuesday, with periods of partial sunshine. Highs above 21 degrees Celsius.

A look into the future …

From the middle of the week, a period of good weather will return, lasting at least until early next weekend. This means that the sunshine will return and temperatures will be pleasant at around 20 degrees.
