Petrolia man charged after domestic incident – ButlerRadio.com

A Petrolia man was booked into the Butler County Jail following an alleged domestic violence incident.

State police were called to a home in the 200 block of Argyle Street last week for a report of domestic violence. When police arrived, witnesses reported seeing 52-year-old Troy Verner stalking the victim on the property.

Before the chase, the victim claimed that at an unknown time, the two had an argument that lasted for hours. The argument eventually turned physical when Verner pulled the victim out of bed, slammed her face against a wall and punched her several times.

The victim tried to escape and the witness on site saw Verner chasing the victim.

Verner is facing charges of strangulation, simple assault and harassment. He is being held in the Butler County Prison on $250,000 bail.

He has a tentative hearing schedule for October 1.
