Actress Parvati Nair on allegations of assault on domestic help: The truth will come out

Actress Parvati Nair, who was recently seen opposite Thalapathy Vijay in Tamil film The Greatest of All Time, released an official statement on Monday, September 23, after she was accused of assaulting her domestic help. In her post on social media platform X, she expressed her faith in the judiciary. Parvati called the allegations against her “baseless”.

Her statement said: “There are some misrepresentations and baseless allegations being spread. I have full faith in the justice system and my legal team will take action against all those responsible. The truth will soon come out. Thank you to all my fans, friends and family for your unwavering support.”

An FIR was filed against the actress in Chennai for allegedly assaulting her domestic help Subhash Chandra Bose. She had earlier accused the man of theft in another police complaint. After his release, the victim claimed that he started working at KGR Studios, where Parvati came one day and slapped him. He also claimed that five others accompanied him and verbally abused him in the studio.

Subhash filed a complaint at Teynampet police station in Chennai. The victim said the police did not take any action and later approached the Saidanet 19th MM Court. It was only after the Saidapet Magistrate issued the orders that an FIR was filed against Parvati and others. The investigation in the case is underway.

The actor has been charged under Sections 296 (b), 115 (2) and 351 (2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Parvati is known for her roles in the films Poppins, Story Kathe, Yennai Arindhaal, Uttama Villain and Nimir among others. She also worked in Ranveer Singh's 83.
