Afghan police arrest 27 drug traffickers in Kabul

Kabul, September 23 (SocialNews.XYZ) Afghanistan's anti-narcotics police have arrested 27 people in the capital Kabul for drug trafficking and purchasing, the Interior Ministry said in a statement on Monday.

The perpetrators were arrested during an anti-drug operation near Kabul, the Xinhua news agency reported.




Illegal drugs were also discovered during the operations, including hashish and the drug Tablet K, which is manufactured in the West, the statement added.

Police also arrested a suspected drug smuggler in the eastern province of Nangarhar on Sunday and found 19 kg of methamphetamine in his possession.

The Afghan interim government has promised to combat illegal drugs, drug production and drug trafficking throughout the country.
