Cal Poly student arrested for attempted burglary and premeditated rape

Incident occurred earlier this month in Poly Canyon Village

– The Cal Poly Police Department (CPPD) has arrested 25-year-old Cal Poly student and RA Alexis Alejandro in connection with an attempted burglary at Poly Canyon Village, according to multiple reports.

The CPPD reported in a Sept. 7 email that officers received a report of an attempted burglary at one of the university's Poly Canyon Village Apartments around 3 a.m. Alejandro was arrested for burglary and assault with intent to commit rape. According to a report by The Mustang News, Alejandro was a resident advisor (RA).

CPPD took Alejandro into custody at approximately 3:45 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19. He was booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail and barred from campus, reports say.
