Main accused Akshay Shinde suffers gunshot injuries

Thane: In a serious turn of events, Akshay Shinde, the main accused in the sexual assault case of two minor girls in Badlapur in Thane district, sustained bullet injuries on Monday evening. Shinde was admitted to a hospital in a critical condition.

The Thane Police have formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the case and chargesheets have been filed in both the cases before the Special Court for Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) in Kalyan.
