A woman was rescued Monday after a Porsche SUV crashed and dangled from the third floor of a parking garage in Coral Gables, officials said.

The incident occurred on the third floor of a garage at 1567 San Remo Avenue after it appeared officials said the woman driving the SUV accidentally pressed the accelerator.

Coral Gables Fire Department officials said the impact caused the SUV to be thrown through a concrete barrier.

Aerial footage from Chopper 6 showed the white SUV over the edge of the garage and crashed into a tree.

Officials said there was a woman inside the vehicle, half hanging out but held in place by a tree.

Rescue workers brought the woman to safety with ropes and were able to take her to a nearby hospital in stable condition.

“I'm pretty sure she was pretty shaken up, but from the outside looking in, she was pretty calm considering how dramatic this incident was,” said Xavier Jones, chief of the Coral Gables Fire Department's EMS division.
