First Look: Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan and David Harbour in Marvel's “Thunderbolts*”

LOS ANGELES — Marvel has released the first look at the highly anticipated film “Thunderbolts*.”

The film stars Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Sebastian Stan, Wyatt Russell, Olga Kurylenko and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

“Everyone here has done bad things. Covert operations, government lab robberies, contract killings,” Pugh's character Yelena Belova says in the trailer as we see reformed Marvel villains come together to go on missions for the government.

Then Lewis Pullman shows up as the mysterious “Bob,” who doesn't seem to belong to this group of tough antiheroes. What is he there for? We'll find out. We'll also see what role Bucky plays in all this and why there's an asterisk in the film's title: “Thunderbolts*.”

“We grow up believing that there are good and evil,” says Julia Louis-Dreyfuss' character Valentina Allegra de Fontaine in the trailer. “But at some point you realize that there are evil and worse. And nothing else.”

“Thunderbolts*” will be released in theaters on May 2, 2025.

The Walt Disney Company is the parent company of Marvel Studios and this ABC channel.
