Kingston Fire Department Damaged in Car Crash – NBC Boston

Three people were arrested after a car allegedly fleeing from police crashed into a fire station in Kingston, Massachusetts on Monday, damaging parts of the building and the power supply.

Police said the three suspects are minors and they believe the vehicle was stolen from the driver's family. The driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries after the accident, but no one else was injured.

Kingston police said it started with a call around 1 a.m. when they received a call saying three masked individuals were threatening to attack the caller at his home. The caller stated he may know at least one of the individuals, who may be armed with knives and guns. The caller told police the suspects had already left but were on their way to another home on Nottingham Drive, allegedly to attack someone else there.

Police responded and found a vehicle and three people matching the caller's description on Nottingham Drive. Officers noticed the three people appeared to be changing their clothing. When officers attempted to stop the driver, he reportedly sped off.

Officers pursued the suspect until his vehicle left Route 27 and crashed into the Kingston Fire Department headquarters on Pembroke Street. The car struck a generator and damaged the building, knocking out power and setting power lines on fire.

While the fire department can respond to emergency calls, police said other functions may be impacted for several days while repairs are carried out.

Due to their age, the suspects' identities have not been determined, but they are expected to face charges of traffic-related violations and assault.

Multiple agencies, including the Duxbury, Pembroke and Plymouth fire departments, Duxbury and Pembroke police, and Plymouth County Sheriff's and BCI police dogs responded to assist.
