The Jacksonville Jaguars have hired Doug Pederson to bring the team back to the playoffs and restore quarterback Trevor Lawrence after Urban Meyer's disastrous tenure. With the team facing dismal playoff prospects and Lawrence failing to live up to his potential, it's time to evaluate coaching candidates for the Jaguars.

  • Doug Pederson's coaching record (Pro Football Reference): 60-55-1 overall, 18-18 as head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars

In 2017, Pederson won the Super Bowl as head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles with a backup quarterback. However, he was fired after the 2020 season and has a 40-43-1 record. Jacksonville's offense is once again holding the team back, and for the second time as head coach, Pederson has refused to part ways with offensive coordinator and frequent playmaker Press Taylor. That's why it's time to identify coaching candidates for the Jaguars.
