3 people seriously injured in accident near Jamestown – InForum

JAMESTOWN – Three people were seriously injured in an accident near Jamestown on Monday afternoon, September 23.

According to a press release from the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 4:45 p.m. at the intersection of US Highway 281 and 32nd Street, two miles north of Jamestown.
A 69-year-old man was driving a Hyundai Palisade southbound on Highway 281 approaching the intersection with 32nd Street Southeast. A 43-year-old man was driving a Dodge Ram westbound on 32nd Street Southeast approaching the same intersection.

According to the press release, the driver of the Dodge entered the intersection and struck the driver's side of the Hyundai. Both vehicles came to rest in the southwest ditch.

Both drivers and a 65-year-old passenger in the Hyundai suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries in the accident, police said. All three people were taken to Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

The driver of the Dodge was charged with failure to obey a stop sign, police said. The accident is still under investigation.
