3 suspects arrested in connection with armed robbery in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) — Springfield police arrested three 18-year-olds in connection with an armed robbery in the area of ​​Armory and Warwick streets just before midnight Saturday.

Two victims reportedly told police they were robbed at gunpoint by three people who were encountered a short time later on Albany Street.

Two of the suspects, Ahman Patterson and Angelina Matos, were arrested. However, the third suspect, Keylon Davy-Cook, allegedly ran away and threw a gun he was carrying in his waistband onto a rooftop.

The weapon was confiscated, but Davy-Cook was able to evade arrest until police spotted him on St. James Avenue on Sunday evening and arrested him during a traffic stop.

All three suspects are now facing charges of multiple counts of firearm possession and armed robbery.
