Drug information sessions take place at Surprise High Schools

The Dysart Unified School District hosted a drug awareness event where participants learned about the misconceptions and risks associated with drug use, including alcohol, marijuana, e-cigarettes and fentanyl.

The drug information evenings are free and take place at all high schools in Dysart on the following dates:

  • Monday, Sept. 30 (Willow Canyon, 17901 W. Lundberg St.);
  • Wednesday, October 2 (Valley Vista, 15550 N. Parkview Place);
  • Tuesday, October 8 (Shadow Ridge, 10909 N. Perryville Road);
  • and Monday, October 21 (Dysart High, 11425 N. Dysart Road, El Mirage).

Information about health risks and possible legal consequences is provided, as well as sources where individuals can receive support.

In addition, parents will learn what warning signs to look out for and receive information that they can use in conversations with their children.
