Gerritsen Beach attack: Teenager arrested after 6 people were stabbed at Gerritsen Beach, Brooklyn

GERRITSEN BEACH, Brooklyn (WABC) — A 19-year-old was arrested in connection with six people who were stabbed in Brooklyn over the weekend, police said.

Erick Caiza Iza was charged with two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault, four counts of fourth-degree menacing and four counts of fourth-degree illegal possession of a weapon, according to police.

Six people are recovering after being stabbed in Brooklyn on Sunday morning.

The incident occurred around 6:20 a.m. in front of 45 Fane Court in Gerritsen Beach.

The victims are:
– 30-year-old woman injured in the face
– 29-year-old woman with cuts on her face and arm
– 27-year-old man with cuts on his face
– 18-year-old with cut on hand
– 16-year-old girl with cut on arm
– Man in his 30s with cuts on neck and wrist

According to the NYPD, all victims were taken to area hospitals in stable condition.

Authorities are still trying to determine what led to the attacks.
