TI and Tiny receive $71 million in lawsuit against toy maker

TI And Tiny emerged victorious from their legal battle against toy manufacturer MGA Entertainment – ​​and if the verdict stands, the couple will be a lot richer.

A jury awarded the music duo a whopping $71 million after concluding a week-long trial on Monday, after finding that MGA had infringed the intellectual property rights of their teen pop group OMG Girlz … according to Rolling Stone magazine.

Jurors reportedly agreed that “LOL Surprise! OMG Dolls” infringes on the trademark and misappropriates the name, image and likeness of the all-female group that TI and Tiny founded in 2009.

In the lawsuit, TI and Tiny focused on 7 dolls that MGA promoted and which they claimed had the same appearance as their OMG Girlz at “very specific public events,” including the image and likeness of Tiny’s eldest daughter, Zonnique Pullins.

After the verdict, Tiny celebrated his big victory in federal court in Santa Ana, California.

In an Instagram Live video, Tiny said she and TI did it “for the city” and “for the culture,” noting that it was a hell of a court battle that began in 2020.
