Family and investigators commemorate the 10th anniversary of the murder of Tom Bearson

SARTELL (WJON News) — Last Friday marked the tenth anniversary of Tom Bearson's Murder. The Sartell native was a freshman at North Dakota State University.

Tom's father Greg says the family remains confident that one day there will be justice for him and his Murder is solved.

The Moorhead Police Department issue a press release on Friday with an update on the status of the investigation. They say people familiar with Tom's incident on September 20, 2014 may have exhibited behavioral changes, such as a change in their appearance, a change in their routine, unexplained injuries, or a change in their mood.

We really hope that the people out there reading this will respond and that those who may know something will contact the Moorhead Police Department and help us with the case.

Greg Bearson The family says they meet in person with investigators at their Sartell home about three times a year, with more contact between those meetings. He says evidence continues to come in.

There is certainly a lot of new evidence and information that has come to light since Tom's body was found. I think our family would encourage those people to cooperate as much as possible.

Tom Bearson's body was found in the parking lot of Moorhead RV Sales three days after his disappearance.

Greg says the foundation his family started in Tom's name has had a therapeutic effect on the family. He says Tom was an amazing son, he had a passion for life and a sense of humor and fun that lit up a room.
