West Virginia man arrested for shooting in Fells Point last summer

In reference to the shooting death of a 32-year-old man in the 200 block of South Broadway on August 5, 2023, Baltimore Police investigators have arrested 21-year-old Jonathan Lopez of Martinsburg, West Virginia.

During the course of the investigation, detectives were able to obtain video footage of the shooting and, with the assistance of the Martinsburg Police Department, positively identified Lopez as the shooter in the video.

On December 7, 2023, Baltimore City Warrant Division investigators were notified by the Martinsburg Police Department of Lopez's arrest on other charges.

On September 18, Lopez was extradited to the City of Baltimore and taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with attempted first-degree murder.

Lopez is currently being held without bail.
