Bills and Vikings among the top three! Commanders on the rise, 49ers in decline

Here's the problem with the power rankings: Six 0-2 teams won their first game of the season on Sunday, including our 31st and 32nd ranked teams from last week. Four 2-0 teams lost, three of them by double digits.

The Patriots, Cowboys and Dolphins were among the more impressive winners of Week 1. Since then, they are 0-6.

For two weeks, the Saints were considered the most impressive team in the NFL, averaging 45.5 points per game, before losing at home in Week 3, scoring just 12 points.

The Buccaneers scored 57 points in their first two games … followed by seven points at home on Sunday against the Broncos, who doubled their season point total with the win.

The Raiders beat reigning MVP Lamar Jackson and the Ravens in Baltimore, but then lost at home to Andy Dalton and the previously winless Panthers.

Does that mean we should be prepared for the Vikings and Steelers' 3-0 victories to be over? It's hard to say, but in a year where quarterbacks have been weak across the league, Sam Darnold and Justin Fields have gotten off to a great start. Malik Willis and Dalton, on the other hand, have each played the role of hero quarterback off the bench and won on the road.

Then came Monday night. The Bills dismantled the Jaguars, who are now 0-3. The Commanders, who are 2-1(!), pulled off an incredible win in Cincinnati, also sending the Bengals to 0-3.

Do you notice a trend here? Very little makes sense at the moment. Please be patient with us during this difficult time.
