No injuries reported in shooting at Democratic Party office in Tempe

Tempe police are investigating an incident after shots were fired at a Democratic Party campaign office in Tempe on September 23.

AZFamily reported that police arrived at the scene near Southern Avenue and Priest Drive, where no one was injured, but the building sustained damage from the gunfire. No one was in the office when the shooting occurred.

Sean McEnerney, the DNC Arizona’s coordinated campaign manager, to local media that several shots were fired at the Tempe office and thanked the Tempe Police Department for their assistance.

Since no one was in the office, the incident is being investigated as a property crime. Tempe and Mesa security officers are conducting the investigation. Anyone with information regarding this incident should contact Tempe Police.
