First preseason game – Canes @ Lightning – Preview and game thread

The Carolina Hurricanes are in Tampa Bay tonight to face the Lightning in the first preseason game for both clubs.

The Canes only started training camp on the 19th, five days ago. Of course, there will be several newcomers in the lineup and they will look to impress when given the opportunity.

For Carolina, Pyotr Kochetkov and Yaniv Perets will share time in goal.

Walt Ruff posted the likely lines for the Canes on X.

The game will be streamed on the team's website starting at 7 p.m.
