PlayStation State of Play September 2024: How to watch and what to expect

It's time for another PlayStation State of Play livestream, where Sony will showcase its next big games and hardware announcements. Sony has promised that we'll see “more than 20 upcoming PS5 and PS VR2 games from studios around the world” during the 30+ minute presentation.

The new State of Play comes just two weeks after the company announced a new, souped-up PS5 “Pro” model that will be available for pre-order starting September 26. The new system's larger GPU and support for PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) AI upscaling will allow it to offer simultaneous fidelity and performance mode features, while a number of games will receive Game Boost enhancements.

Sony's September PlayStation State of Play broadcast takes place tonight, September 24, at 6 p.m. ET (3 p.m. PT). You can watch the live stream on YouTube and Twitch.
