Chelsea 5-0 Barrow (24 September 2024) Match Analysis

Christopher Nkunku scored his first hat-trick for Chelsea to help his side comfortably progress to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup with a 5-0 win over League Two side Barrow at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.

Nkunku scored the first two goals up to the 15th minute and capped it off in the 75th minute, interspersed with an own goal from Barrow's Paul Farman and a tap-in from Pedro Neto, who scored his first goal for Chelsea.

Chelsea also rotated its lineup, with coach Enzo Maresca making eleven changes to the team that started Saturday's 3-0 win over West Ham.

The last 32 of the competition will be spread over two weeks to accommodate the expanded Champions League and Europa League. Manchester United and Tottenham were among the clubs that progressed last week, while Liverpool and Arsenal will play their games on Wednesday.
