(Update: OSP confirms that the driver was alone in the vehicle)

PRINEVILLE, Ore. (KTVZ) – A driver was seriously injured in a single-vehicle rollover crash that closed U.S. Highway 26 about 14 miles east of Prineville for several hours Tuesday, authorities said.

The crash and highway closure were reported just before noon at mile marker 33, and the road was reopened around 2:45 p.m., said Kacey Davey, ODOT Region 4 spokeswoman.

Oregon State Police said the seriously injured driver was alone in the vehicle.

After the closure began, ODOT advised motorists to “expect extended delays or use an alternate route.”
