Five teens arrested in North Seattle on suspicion of car theft – KIRO 7 News Seattle

SEATTLE – Five teenagers were arrested after they were caught fleeing two stolen cars and evading police in North Seattle.

On September 12, at around 2:22 p.m., Seattle Police received reports of an accident near Burke Trail and Northeast 65th Street.

According to SPD, the caller said he saw a group of teenagers running from the crashed car before jumping into another car and speeding away.

Police were able to locate the getaway car near Sandpoint Way Northeast and Northeast 75th Street before the suspects drove away through Magnusson Park.

The suspects then reportedly reached a dead end, jumped out of the car and ran while the car was still moving.

The police pursued them and were able to immediately catch three suspects. The other two suspects were caught some time later.

All five teenagers, ages 13 to 15, were arrested and taken to the Judge Patricia H. Clark Children & Family Justice Center.

The investigation is being carried out by criminal investigators from the General Investigation Department.
