Suspect arrested 2 months after fatal shooting in Lloyd District

PORTLAND, Ore. (KPTV) – A suspect has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in the Lloyd District neighborhood on July 28, 2024.

A man is dead after a shooting in the Lloyd District on Sunday morning.

On Tuesday, PPB arrested 27-year-old Cresencio Flores of Portland on outstanding warrants in connection with the shooting death of 45-year-old Jacob Forrest.

Flores was sent to prison for premeditated murder and illegal use of weapons.

The shooting occurred on July 28 at Northeast Sixth Avenue and Northeast Holladay Street around 6 a.m.

The PPB was called to the scene and found Forrest dead on the sidewalk from a gunshot wound.

In recent months, the Louisa Flowers Apartments in the Lloyd District have attracted a lot of negative attention.

As of Tuesday, no suspect had been found in the case.
