Mother arrested on suspicion of murder of four-month-old baby

EAGLE MOUNTAIN – A Utah County mother is being held without bail on suspicion of killing her 4-month-old baby.

The Utah County Sheriff's Office said officers and paramedics responded to a report from a home near Nolan Park around 3:12 a.m. that a four-month-old baby was bleeding and his head was swollen.

Rescue workers began treating the child and then called a rescue helicopter.

The baby was taken to Primary Children's Hospital in Lehi, but his injuries were too severe and he died early Tuesday morning.

According to doctors, the baby's injuries did not match the story the mother had told them.

The mother, 32-year-old Raona Dorothy Mora, is charged with third-degree murder and child abuse.

The case is still under investigation.
