Teenager arrested after reported threats at Great Bend Middle School

GREAT BEND, Kansas (KWCH) – Great Bend Police confirmed the arrest of a 14-year-old boy in connection with a report of threats against students and staff at Great Bend Middle School.

Great Bend Police Department officers, patrol officers and detectives investigated the reported threats. During the course of the investigation, detectives learned, according to police, that “several students were threatened.”

“Subsequently, a 14-year-old student was arrested and information regarding this case was sent to the Barton County District Attorney's Office,” police said.
